A Heartfelt St. Leon, Indiana Catholic Wedding Day
Lindy and Josh’s wedding day was a beautiful celebration of faith, family, and sentimental traditions. From watching Lindy’s grandfather capture her on his home video camera to a heartfelt tribute honoring her late grandfather and his love of photography, it was clear how deeply this family values the people and traditions that came before them.
Rain poured down on their wedding morning, but thankfully cleared just in time for portraits. I’ve been wanting to surprise one of my couples with a small jar of blessed rainwater from their wedding day, and this finally gave me the chance. I collected just enough clean rainwater from a gutter and brought it back to Father John Hollowell to bless before Mass.
At All Saints Parish, Fr. John Hollowell celebrated a beautiful Catholic wedding Mass, where Lindy and Josh were gifted a blessed cross to hang in their home—a meaningful reminder of the foundation of their marriage.
Family was truly at the heart of the day. Lindy and Josh made a point to include so many of their loved ones in their photographs, making sure everyone who had helped shape their lives felt seen and appreciated.
And then came the reception—one of the most fun we’ve ever attended. It reminded us so much of our own wedding reception, with everyone completely invested in celebrating the couple. Father Jonathan Myer broke into Ice Ice Baby as Lindy and her mom rapped along, the groomsmen played human jump rope, ping pong went all night, and little ones zipped around in mini cars.
There were unforgettable bridal party entrances, a hilarious rendition of Proud Mary, and a moment that had Lindy and her dad rolling across the dance floor. Warm string lights illuminated the evening and tied it all together beautifully.
